It is an easy-to-use test, designed to determine the effectiveness of the washing phase of lumens and cannulas in a hospital washer-disinfector.

The test is placed in  for easy connection of the test to the washer's lumen wash function. 

The red bar simulates human blood and organic tissue remains. When placed in the holder and the holder is connected to the washer's lumen cleaning unit, the indicator is exposed to the same conditions and cycles as a cannula. Removing the entire red bar indicates effective cleaning.
